I Just Want A Boy To Save Me // Jesus Saved YOU

Recently I saw a post from a girl I know that read: “I just want a boy to save me” (or something along those lines). When I read that I just wanted to hug her and let her know that a man had died to  save her about  2000 years ago. Side note ->  Click here.   Not only did he die but he died in such a significant way. On a cross, crucified.  It wasn’t like just being stabbed and dying but he was betrayed by one of his disciples, rebuked and denied by his people (“Here is your king,” Pilate said to the Jews. But they shouted, “Take him away! Take him away! Crucify him!” “Shall I crucify your king?” Pilate asked. “We have no king but Caesar,” the chief priests answered.  Finally Pilate handed him over to them to be crucified.– John19:14-16)   , tested by others telling him to save himself if he really was the son of God, whipped, beaten, they put a crown of thorns upon his head (Then Pilate took Jesus and had him flogged.  The soldiers twisted together a crown of thorns and put it on his head. They clothed him in a purple robe  and went up to him again and again, saying, “Hail, king of the Jews!” And they slapped him in the face.- John19:1-3) , and mocked him as well.  (Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.”[b] And they divided up his clothes by casting lots. The people stood watching, and the rulers even sneered at him. They said, “He saved others; let him save himself if he is God’s Messiah, the Chosen One.” The soldiers also came up and mocked him. They offered him wine vinegar and said, “If you are the king of the Jews, save yourself.” There was a written notice above him, which read: this is the king of the Jews.  One of the criminals who hung there hurled insults at him: “Aren’t you the Messiah? Save yourself and us!” But the other criminal rebuked him. “Don’t you fear God,” he said, “since you are under the same sentence? We are punished justly, for we are getting what our deeds deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong.” – Luke23:34-41) On top of all that he was crucified along with the criminals (Luke23:32) as if he had done something wrong or as if he had sinned.

This perfect man, the son of God the creator and king, died to save you (yes YOU) from your sins ( “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,”-Romans 3:23 )   (For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.- John3:16) (For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, – 1Peter3:18) (And they made his grave with the wicked and with a rich man in his death, although he had done no violence, and there was no deceit in his mouth-Isaiah 53:9  ) (For he hath made him [to be] sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.-2 Corinthians 5:21 )

Because of Jesus ( I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. –Romans 8:38-39)
